I offer three different editinig packages: Developmental editing, Proofreading, and Line Editing..
Proofreading
I perform thorough edits focusing on cleaning up language mechanics —correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, and typos. I will not do developmental editing if you choose this package.
The standard turnaround time is a minimum of 4-6 weeks, depending on the manuscript. This is from the agreed-upon start date, not from the ordering date.
Developmental Editing
I focus on big-picture issues, such as structure, pacing, tone, and characterization. These are always in my field of vision, but I also concentrate on plot lines, story arcs, and character development. I will clean up minor typos and spelling errors, but overall my focus is on the development stage.
This package includes chapter summaries, a final summary of strengths and weaknesses, and an opportunity for a 1-hour phone call to address any questions or clarifications. If you prefer not to use your phone call, I am happy to answer any questions for the span of 2 months after the deadline. *Unless a continuing service is agreed upon (i.e., series, sagas, trilogies, etc.).

Line Edit
This edit focuses on creative content, writing style, voice, and language at the sentence and paragraph level. This edit focuses on how you use language to tell your story and is not a proofreading or a developmental edit.
This package includes comments and an opportunity for a 1-hour phone call to address any questions or clarifications. If you prefer not to use your phone call, I am happy to answer any questions for the span of 2 months after the deadline. *Unless a continuing service is agreed upon (i.e., series, sagas, trilogies, etc.).

Editing Prices
***Samples- $50 per chapter. This will be subtracted from the total amount due
if we choose to work together or I can show you my samples***
Proofreading/Line Editing- Starts at a flat fee of $300 for 30,000-words ($0.01 per word). $350 for 50,000-words (0.007 per word) with an additional $30 fee for every 10,000-words ($0.003 per word) after the standard word mark.
Developmental Editing- Starts at a flat fee of $400 for 30,000-words ($0.013 per word). $550 for 50,000-words (0.011 per word) with an additional $50 fee for every 10,000-words ($0.005 per word) after the standard word mark.
